About Us
Built for people who trade and work on their own terms
AxenTrade began as an internal tool for analysing irregular income patterns and market data side by side. Today it supports independent workers and individual investors across the UK who need clearer, faster decision-making without a research team behind them.
Why we started AxenTrade
Gig economy work and self-directed investing share the same problem: irregular data, inconsistent timing, and very little room for guesswork. Most analysis tools are built for institutions with dedicated analysts, not for someone managing both a variable income and a personal portfolio at the same time.
We set out to build a platform that treats data analysis as a practical, everyday tool rather than a specialist function — something that helps people make better-informed decisions with the time and information they actually have.
That focus has shaped every part of AxenTrade, from how we present data to how we prioritise which features to build next.
Our Mission
Clearer decisions, less guesswork
We believe good decisions come from good structure, not more noise. Our mission is to give independent workers and investors a consistent, disciplined way to interpret data — without requiring a background in finance or data science.
Clarity over complexity
We favour clear, actionable outputs over dense dashboards that require expertise to interpret. If a feature doesn't help someone decide faster, it doesn't ship.
Consistency in method
Analysis should follow a repeatable process, not a hunch. Our tools are built around defined methodologies so results can be trusted and reviewed.
Respect for risk
We're transparent about limitations. Data analysis informs decisions; it does not remove the risk involved in trading, investing, or variable income work.
How We Work
Our approach to building AxenTrade
Start from real constraints
We design around the actual conditions of gig work and independent investing — irregular hours, limited time for research, and the need for decisions that hold up under scrutiny.
Validate before release
Features are tested against historical data and real usage patterns before they become part of the core platform, so the tools we ship are dependable in practice.
Refine with feedback
We treat the platform as a continuing process, adjusting based on how it's actually used rather than assumptions about how it should be used.
Our team
AxenTrade is built by a small, focused team spanning data analysis, product design, and platform engineering. We work closely together to keep the platform practical, well-tested, and genuinely useful for the people relying on it day to day.
We deliberately stay lean, which means every feature reflects direct input from the team rather than layers of process — and every decision about the roadmap is made with our users' real needs in mind.
What guides our decisions
We're based in Belfast, United Kingdom, and built AxenTrade with UK gig economy workers and individual investors specifically in mind. That regional focus shapes how we prioritise features and communicate risk.
As the platform grows, our commitment stays the same: build tools that support better decisions, be honest about what those tools can and can't do, and keep the experience straightforward for people who don't have time to waste.
